This copycat version of the Jolly Roger Punch just might be better than the original found at Disney for the 50th anniversary of the Pirates of the Caribbean.
If you’ve been following along here, you know that I am a huge Disney fan and that I love easy party punch recipes. When I knew that I was going to be at Disneyland during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Pirates of the Caribbean, I knew I had to try all the fun treats they created for the anniversary. I heard they created the Jolly Roger Punch for the occasion and I was so excited to try it! I couldn’t wait!
I’m sad to say, I didn’t love it. It sounded so good with all the mix of tropical fruit juices, but it was super strong. It was really concentrated with mango, pineapple, and orange juices, I needed to water it down. And had a bite to it, that kind of burned in the back of the throat. I found out that the spice in it was ginger.
Jolly Roger Punch
I had such high hope for the drink, and when it wasn’t what I expected, I decided to come home and make my own version. It’s full of tropical juices and has just a hint of the ginger bite. The family loved it! And so did I. I thought it tasted similar to the original but less intense.
