Have fun with the kids celebrating the new Peanuts movie with this printable Snoopy dog house kid craft.
We are a movie loving family. My husband and I will usually go to the movies for date night and our kids love going to the theater to watch a movie with mom and dad. I love sharing my love of movies with you. It’s fun to get excited to see our favorite characters from books, comics, fairy tales, etc. come to life on the big screen. I think everyone is familiar with the Peanuts gang. We have all grown up with those lovable characters. My kids get excited to watch all the Charlie Brown movies during the holidays. They are ready to start watching the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving movie now that Halloween is over. So it’s super exciting that the new Peanuts Movie is opening today! They can’t wait to go see it in the theater.
To get the kids excited for the new movie I designed this printable Snoopy Dog house that we could make together and the kids could play with. It really is super easy to assemble.
I printed out the Snoopy Dog house onto card stock and I cut out all the pieces. This would be hard for little kids who are not great at cutting yet. Older kids should be able to do this part on their own. Then I folded in all the areas noted to fold. I simply used a glue stick to the tabs to keep the house together. Putting the sides together first and then gluing on the roof last.
For Snoopy, you can see I didn’t cut super close, but just around the general shape. I folded him in half and then glued the two sides together. I wanted Snoopy to be a little more durable. I knew my kids would want Snoopy to “walk” all over the place.
Then I cut a little slit, as shown with small marks, on both the stand part and on Snoopy.
Now Snoopy can stand up and inspect his super cool house!
Here he is, walking home. My daughter carried Snoopy and his house all over the place.
I got together with some of my friends to share some fun crafts and recipes inspired by our favorite Peanuts characters!
