Create some magic for your favorite witch or wizard with these Harry Potter Bookmarks using the free printable and the print and cut function of your cutting machine.
I am a huge Harry Potter fan. And I’ve been trying to get my kids excited to be Harry Potter fans as well. They enjoy the movies, but haven’t really dove into the books. Maybe these Harry Potter bookmarks will get them to become Harry Potter book enthusiasts.
Maybe we could find out which house they belong to as well. That way they can pick whichever Hogwarts House bookmark they belong to.
Can you guess which house I belong to? I’ll give you a hint, it’s the color I never wear. But it’s a great house full of loyal, hard working, patient and kind witches and wizards. (See traits of a Hufflepuff.)
Upload the free Harry Potter Bookmark file (find the download toward the bottom of this post) into your cutting machine software as a print and cut file. If you are using Cricut Design Space, make sure to size your image to fit the print and cut sizing requirements.
I turn the design at a 90 degree angle so it’s easier to fit the print and cut limit. Keep it between 9.25 and 6.75 for a good size bookmark.
Print the design out onto card stock. Make sure the bleed is on and that you select best print. Then choose the correct print setting in the pop up box.
Once it’s printed, select the correct material for your machine. Put the card stock onto the cutting mat and load it into the cutting machine. Press the go button when it starts blinking.
Once the machine reads the registration marks, it will cut the designs perfectly. Unload it from the mat once it’s done with the cut. Then remove the bookmarks and excess card stock from the mat.
These Harry Potter Bookmarks are perfect for the illustrated books or even the original print size. You can take these bookmarks a step further and laminate them so you can use them for a longer period of time.
The file will download as a png so it is ready for upload right into Design Space. It already has the transparent background so you won’t have to remove any of the design when you upload it. And you just have to download it to your computer once you click the link below.
