Gift giving is one of my favorite things to do. Simple, inexpensive gifts are my favorite. If they are a little personal and wrapped up cute, that’s even better. So any reason to give gifts to someone who I think is amazing, I jump on that opportunity.
Teacher appreciation is just one of those occasions. And because I love those amazing teachers, I’ve got to take advantage of the opportunity to make them something great! Don’t let Teacher Appreciation Day pass without showing your teachers how much you care.
For this project I picked out shirts in each teacher’s favorite color. Then I dug through my craft stash and found all my patterned iron-on sheets to go with the color of shirts.

Download the Teacher Cut Files from my shop and open them up into Cricut Design Space. Check out this video on how to upload an SVG file into Cricut Design Space if you’re unsure how to do that. Create the design you want to put onto the shirt in Design Space and click make it.
Place your patterned iron-on vinyl face down onto the cutting mat and make sure to click the mirror image button before cutting the design. Select patterned iron-on as your cutting material, load the mat into the Cricut Maker and press the go button.
Heat the Easy Press to 340 degrees for using patterned iron-on. Weed the design, removing any unwanted vinyl from the design. Lay the shirt down on top of the Easy Press Mat, heat the area for about 5 seconds, then lay the design onto the shirt. Keep the protective cover sheet on the design and ress the design for 50 seconds. Turn the shirt over and press the back for about 15 seconds.
Let the design cool completely before removing the protective cover sheet. If any of the design pulls up as you remove the protective sheet, lay the sheet back over the design and press it again with the Easy Press.
These DIY Teacher Appreciation Shirts turned out so cute! I can’t wait for the kiddos to take these Awesome Teacher Shirts to their teachers. I hope they know how much we love and appreciate them.
