Let’s make a big deal about dad this year and make something really awesome with one of these Free Father’s Day Cut Files.
In case you haven’t noticed, I really enjoy designing cut files. And here I am again, bringing you another fun free cut file. Just in time for your Father’s Day crafting.
Being able to use my hand lettering skills and take my designs from paper or my iPad and put them onto projects is so amazing to me! Thanks to my hand Cricut cutting machines Cricut cutting machines (yes that’s plural), the possibilities seem endless and I couldn’t love it more.
Not only do I offer free cut files here on the blog, but I also have some super fun cut files in my on-line shop. I’d love for you to check them out and tell me some of your favorites. I know I have a few favorites myself.
I know things are crazy in the world right now. Our new normals mean more time at home and no socializing with friends and neighbors.
Even though things are a bit different, it doesn’t mean we still can’t celebrate Dad! These designs are made for sending long distance love to Dad this year.
Free Father’s Day Cut Files
This file actually comes with several options when making your project. Once opened up in your cut software, you will see several options on names for dad and Grandpa. Turn off any of the names you don’t want to use and then move the name around until it’s on the design exactly where you want.
If I haven’t already added the name you’d like, I’ve included the entire alphabet and you can arrange the letters to spell your desired name. Select the name and make sure to attach the letters and move the name to the desired spot on the design. Make sure to group and attach the design before cutting. Especially if you are using all the same color of iron on vinyl on your design.
Once the design is cut and weeded, use an EasyPress or Iron to adhere it to your shirt or apron, leaving the plastic cover on your design. You DO NOT want the iron to touch the vinyl without a protective cover of some sort.
Check out this post on how to create a custom shirt for a full tutorial on using iron-on vinyl in Cricut Design Space.
