Hand lettering has become second nature to me. I’ve been hand lettering for over 4 years now and have improved immensely since starting. Even though I’ve been doing it for a long time, practice is still a big part in my hand lettering journey. I’ve found that when I’ve gone a few weeks with out practicing, it takes me a lot longer to get back into it.
Often times I struggle to know what to letter. Coming up with words or phrases always seem to be the hardest part. But when the holidays approach, it becomes a bit easier. There are always festive words, phrases or song lyrics that are perfect for hand lettering practice.
That is how these Halloween Hand Lettering Practice Sheets came about. I wrote out all my favorite Halloween words and phrases and thought I’d share them with you. Once you get your practice in, you’ll be ready to add these festive words to your Halloween crafts and home decor.

These free printable hand lettering practice sheets were created using my favorite pens. There are sheets for the Tombow Fudenosuke Color Pens. I love the new hard tip Fudenosuke Colors. They were really fun to use on these practice sheets
There are 2 ways I like to use practice sheets. One way is to print them on HP Premium Laser Jet paper and then trace directly onto the pages. DO NOT use regular printer paper to write on. The rough texture will tear up the tips of the pens and they will fray and won’t give you crisp lines. The other way is to cover the practice sheets with Marker Paper or Tracing Paper. You’ll be able to see the practice sheets underneath. Plus you’ll be able to use them again and again.
