If you’re new around here, you might not be aware of my LOVE for iron on and DIY t-shirts. Iron-on is my favorite thing to use with my Cricut Maker. The Cricut Maker along with the EasyPress and EasyPress Mat make t-shirt making a breeze. And making t-shirts for my kids for special occasions, trips and just for fun has become a normal activity around here. Although I love iron on, sometimes it’s difficult to get a multi colored/layered design. That is where printable iron on comes in handy. You can get a multi colored/layered design to come out perfectly using print and cut with printable iron on.
There are a lot of options when it comes to printable iron on. You can find different brands at the craft store and on Amazon for both light and dark fabrics. Use what you can find or what you like. The only thing you have to remember is to READ THE DIRECTIONS. Every brand is different as far as application goes. Some require a mirror image of the design and some don’t. Make sure you print it correctly, according to the directions so you don’t waste your printable iron on. And use the correct printer. Most printable iron on brands require an ink jet printer.

PNG designs are the best when it comes to print and cut projects, which is what we did with this printable iron on shirt. This desert vibes design is part of the Retro Desert SVG File Bundle. This newest Fresh Cut bundle not only comes with SVG files (these work great with Cricut and Silhouette machines), but PNG (which are perfect for print and cut projects, and DFX which should cover all cutting machines.
I created a step by step video on how to upload a PNG to Cricut Design space and print then cut onto printable iron on. The printable iron on I used in this video is from Expressions Vinyl.

I think I need one of these cute t-shirts so I can hang with this cutie by the pool and we can enjoy some sunshine and yummy mocktails together!

Don’t forget to grab all these Retro Desert SVG Files and make some super cute shirts for all your summer vacay needs! There are just so many fun designs.
