Whether you print them out and cut them with scissors, or use the print and cut feature of your cutting machine, reading just became more fun with these Mermaid Tail Bookmarks.
With summer vacations approaching, I am all about reading. For both myself and my kids. I’ve got a stack of books I’m hoping to tackle as we head off onto a 10 day RV adventure.
My daughters are also gathering all the books they can as we start making our packing lists. You just never know when you’ll need a book. And when planning such a long vacation, with a lot of driving, having books a plenty is the best plan.
Reading means we are going to need some really great bookmarks. And these mermaid tails are going to make some great bookmarks.
I designed 3 different designs and styles of mermaid tails. When printed on a 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of card stock, these mermaid tails are the perfect bookmark size.
Mermaid Tail Bookmarks
To make these mermaid tail bookmarks, all you need is a color printer and some card stock. If you want to make it even easier on yourself, use the print and cut function of your cutting machine if you have one.
Download the free PNG file of the mermaid tails in the download box below. Once you have it downloaded, you can either print it right then, or upload it to your cutting machine software.
If using a cutting machine, resize the image to fit the print and cut parameters. Print the design on card stock using the best print option. Place the printed card stock onto your cutting mat and select card stock as the cutting material.
You can definitely use a regular old pair of scissors and cut these mermaid tails out by hand, but look at those clean lines from using the print and cut feature on my Cricut.
You can take it one step further and laminate these bookmarks to make them even more sturdy. That is my plan as I know they will get a lot of use and I want them to last a long while. These mermaid tail bookmarks look so cute sticking out of a book! We can’t wait to use them.
This printable is free to download. It will download automatically as a PNG. Which means it already has a transparent background, making it the perfect file to upload to Cricut Design Space. Grab the printable below.
