Simple Christmas Wreath

So it can’t officially be the Christmas season until I decorate my door!  I have a big wreath that I made a couple years ago that I love, but I wanted to do something different this year.  I wanted to do something a little more simple.  I happened to go into a Trader Joe’s last week and saw that they were selling fresh evergreen swags and wreaths.  They were also selling fresh boxwood wreaths.  I just so happen to love boxwood and for $10 I had to bring it home.  I used my store bought boxwood wreath and created this simple Christmas Wreath for my front door.

I used my favorite red and white striped wire edged ribbon and looped it through the wreath so it would hang.

I have a really tall front door so instead of a wreath hanger I have a nail in my door to hang my wreaths.  I tied my red and white ribbon around the nail in my door.  I just tied it in a simple knot and trimmed the ends.

I made a big bow out of ribbon and using a pipe cleaner, attached it to the nail to cover up the knot and the ends of the ribbon.

I just love this simple Christmas wreath!  The pop of green with the red and white ribbon and the red and white in my holiday porch sign, brighten up the front of my home.  So welcoming!

Happy Decorating!

Liz
