Back to school, back to school. Are you sick of people talking about back to school? Are your kids starting back soon like mine? Or do you still get to enjoy your summer a little longer? Well I have one more back to school gift idea. I am really into chalkboard right now and I think what could be more appropriate for back to school than this chalkboard pop box teacher gift.
You may remember that last week I shared a whole bunch of Chalkboard printables for back to school that would make great back to school gifts.
Well I wanted to make something extra special for my son’s teacher this year since this is his first official year of school. Here is how I put together my chalkboard pop box teacher gift.
The first thing I did was got a drink holder (for free) from Sonic. I used some chalkboard spray paint and painted the entire outside of the drink holder. I added 2 coats of paint and let the drink holder dry over night. The next day I seasoned the chalkboard part of the box by covering the entire surface with a piece of chalk and using a soft cloth to wipe it off.
Then I used some colored chalk and added some fun to the outside of the box like an Apple with the letter A, and a pencil with a math problem.
To finish your gift, fill each section with something fun for the teacher. I really love the plant in the brown paper lunch sack.
I also added some cute pencils in a recycled can and some apples in the back part of the box. This pop box will brighten up any teachers desk for the start of the new school year.
I know I’m going to be scrambling this year the day before school starts to make sure my little guy has everything he needs, but at least I won’t be worried about what to give the teacher!
Happy Back to School Prep!
