Last year we decided to spend October break in Southern California. A few days before we left my husband said, “hey we should spend the last couple days at Disneyland”. Well if I ever hear those words out of his mouth, I don’t question, I just start planning. Since we were going to be there at Halloween Time, I decided to make some matching shirts for my family. Nothing says Halloween Time at Disneyland than the Mickey Pumpkin on Main Street. So of course, I had to make some DIY Mickey Pumpkin Shirts.
I had some printable iron on in my craft stash and I always have plain t-shirts laying around. Yes, I buy them in bulk because you never know when you just need to make a t-shirts. 🙂 I designed this Micky Pumpkin image, printed it on some printable iron on and took my scissors, iron and t-shirts on our vacation with us. There are different types of printable iron-on available to create this fun shirt. I’ve used this HP brand and I’ve also used Cricut brand. If you have a cricut, you can print and cut the iron-on for your t-shirts. You can use an iron or my new favorite tool for DIY t-shirts, the Cricut Easy Press. Whatever type of printable iron-on you decide to use, make sure to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS on how to use it before printing, cutting and ironing.
Get Away Today is our favorite place to purchase our park tickets. They have so many options when it comes to vacation planning. You can purchase just park tickets, or you can purchase complete vacation packages. You can even use code LIZONCALL and save $10 on any Southern Vacation Package. Halloween Time is a super fun time to visit the parks. The decor, the food the spirits (see what I did there), it is just so much fun! We are headed to Southern California for October break again this year. Maybe my husband will surprise us with another last minute trip to Disneyland!
Grab your park tickets at Get Away Today and you can usually save more than paying at the gate. Also, 2018 Disneyland packages are now available. The best part about this is that you can get 2018 Disneyland tickets at 2017 prices! You also get to pick from the best availability and can hold your entire vacation for just $125 down with Get Away Today’s layaway plan. The final balance isn’t due until 15 days before you travel. Depending on travel dates, that could give you up to a year and a half to pay on the vacation.
You can download the Mickey Pumpkin design to print and cut your own iron on and make these DIY Mickey Pumpkin shirts for your next Halloween Time trip!
Here is a video to show you how I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 to print and cut my Mickey Pumpkin printable iron-on.
