So last year I made a plain burlap wreath. It took me a while to actually put it up on my door. I just wasn’t sure how to dress it up for a holiday. I have since used it for almost every season! Spring, summer and now fall. I don’t want to use hot glue on it since I like to just update for each holiday/season and use it over and over again. Since I wanted a fall wreath, I decided to just update my plain burlap wreath for under $10!
Now if you don’t know how to make a burlap wreath, you can see a great tutorial on how to make one here. Once you have your wreath, you only need a few things to update it for fall. I bought 3 floral picks at Hobby Lobby when they were on sale. I loved the deep red of this sunflower and the dark color of the berries.
I arranged the floral picks how I wanted them to look on my wreath. Then I used some green floral tape and taped them all together so they would stay. I left the ends of the picks long and that is what I used to attach my floral arrangement to my wreath. I stuck the long ends into the loops of my wreath so it would stay. It also means it is easily removed!
I used some orange burlap ribbon to tie a big bow and hang my wreath on my door.
I just love those deep rich colors of the floral picks. They totally brighten up my plain burlap wreath.
I love my fall wreath so much, it just might become my everyday wreath!
I especially love that it didn’t cost me a fortune to make. Luckily I already had the plain burlap wreath.
Happy Crafting!
