I love a good front door wreath. But every once in a while, I like creating something that isn’t the typical wreath for my front door.
With the transition into spring time, I wanted to make something new for my front door. Something that was bright and fun and inviting.
I hand lettered this fun Home Sweet Home design and thought it’d be perfect on one of the cool wooden rounds you find at Michael’s and hung up on my front door.
How To Make A Front Round Front Door Sign
For this project you will need:
I used my Cricut Maker 3 because I wanted to use the Smart Permanent Vinyl so I could have a bigger design and not have to piece it together. I made this 11.5 x 15 inches.
Not having to use a mat to cut out the vinyl is another major plus with the Cricut Maker 3. I loaded the Smart Vinyl straight into the machine and got to cutting.
Once it was done cutting, I weeded the vinyl and covered it with transfer tape. Using the transfer tape, I added the vinyl to the board. I removed the transfer tape and made sure all the vinyl was stuck down and rubbed out any air bubbles.
It needed a little bit of something else. So I made a big bow and hot glued it onto the top of the board. And then added a bit of greenery as well.
Check out my tutorial on how to make a big bow for a wreath. It’s not as hard as you think it might be.
