Do you like dressing up your front door or your front porch? I tend to change out the door decor, pillows and mats depending on the season or holiday. But I wanted a new mat that was both functional and that could be used all year round.

This free doormat cut file is the perfect welcome to greet guests as they come to visit. As well as the perfect send off when it is time to leave. I just love this hello/goodbye doormat.

These blank mats can be found at Ikea, on-line or even at Walmart. Cut the design out of freezer paper and then lightly apply heat to get it to stick to the mat. Don’t add too much or it could burn. Using a foam brush and black acrylic paint, dab on the paint onto the freezer paper stencil.

Once you have the stencil painted, remove the freezer paper and you’re all set! You could use either version of this free cut file for a brand new doormat.
