Back to School Fortune Teller with Pure Flavor

The kids will love this Back To School Fortune Teller.  There are lots of fun ideas on how to make back to school fun and not so scary.

Although my kids have been back in school since August, I feel like we are still figuring out our back to school routine.  The kids have settled nicely into their classrooms and love their teachers.  I’m so happy they are back to a routine.  Now I just need to get myself into a good back to school groove.

To help my kids settle into a new school routine, especially for my Kindergartener, we made this fun back to school fortune teller.  The kids have loved seeing which fortune they will get.  Have you ever made one of these fun fortune tellers with your kids?  It’s great fun.

Download the Back to School Fortune Teller, print it out and cut around the square.  I just printed it out on regular printer paper.  There are directions under the fortune teller to help you with folding it just right.  But here are some pictures to help you as well.

Once the fortune teller is put together, it’s time to play.  Have one child pick their favorite veggie or favorite color.  Move the fortune teller back and forth for each letter of the vegetable or letter of the color of the vegetable.  Then the child can pick a number.  Open it up to reveal their fortune.

My daughters always tried to avoid the fortune of having to sharpen all the pencils at home.  Haha!  But there were other fortunes to help kids in the classroom and on the playground too. This back to school fortune teller will hopefully help add a little extra fun to the school day.
