One of my most favorite parts of hosting a party, is giving an awesome party favor bag. Holly just happens to be one of my favorite things about Christmas decor. It’s so easy to add holly to printables, banners, mantels, etc. I decided cute Christmas party favor bags with a simple holly decoration would be just perfect for an upcoming holiday gathering.
To make these Christmas party favor bags you will need:
Holly Berry Cut File in Design Space
Goodies to fill you favor bag
I opened up Cricut Design space and clicked on insert image. I typed in holly berries in the search bar and picked a design I liked. I adjusted the design to fit on my favor bag. I clicked make it and then decided I wanted to cut 4 of the design. I clicked 4 copies in the upper left corner and then clicked apply so 4 holly berry designs where placed on the mat. I placed the green felt on the fabric mat, inserted the rotary blade into the maker, selected felt as the cut material, loaded the mat into the Maker and clicked the go button. Once the green leaves were cut, I put the red felt on the fabric mat and loaded it into the Maker and hit the go button.
How amazing did the Cricut Maker do when cutting out this felt? Once all the felt was cut out, I used the tacky glue to add the berries to the leaves. After they dried, I glued the holly berry and leaves to my drawstring bags.
The hard part about this project was deciding what to put into the party favor bags! I thought these would look really cute on a hostess gift too! If you are taking or gifting a bottle of sparkling cider this season, find a tall drawstring bag and add these cute holly berry leaves. A perfect simple gift.
I can’t wait to cut more felt with my Cricut Maker. This project took me less than 30 minutes to make. Which is the best kind of project during this busy time of year.
