Two of our favorite past times, sending letters and coloring, come together with these Coloring Note Cards Free Printables.
How do you feel about snail mail? Or just sending notes to people in general?
I absolutely LOVE sending snail mail and little notes to my friends and family. Anytime I receive something like that, it totally brightens my day. So I try and do that for other people. I think it’s a great habit to get into and I’m trying to teach my kids what a wonderful thing letter writing can be.
During this stay at home time we are experiencing, I think it’s the perfect time to start mailing notes to our friends and family. The kids are learning how to not only write notes, but the proper way to address envelopes and place a stamp.
It’s been a great way to stay connected with their friends and teachers right now. Plus, they are get so excited when they receive a note in return!
I created these coloring note cards specifically with my kids in mind. They are easy patterns and designs to color but will keep them busy a little bit if I need a few minutes alone. And they can make them their own.
Free Coloring Note Cards
There are 6 total designs that will be printed on 3 pages. Once you download these printables, right click when the download opens and save to your computer, open them up and print them out onto cardstock.
Use a paper cutter or scissors and cut along the outside lines of the card. These cards are designed to fold in half. So DO NOT cut along that line that is just above the design. It is there to show you where to fold.
I really love all these designs. I’m sure your kids will find one or two that they love. You can see in the picture below what I mean by not cutting that line right above the design.
Grab your colored pencils, crayons or markers and let those little hands, or your own hands, get to some coloring.
All that’s left to do is add a sweet note inside. It’s been fun to see what kinds of things they write to their friends. And it’s fun to talk with them about what things are ok to write and what’s not. Haha!
You can download these coloring note cards using the download below. These are for personal use only. If you share these on social media, tag me! I’d love to see how they are being used.
As a side note: April is National Lettering Writing Month. That gives us even more of an excuse to get these note cards colored, written and into the mail.
Happy Coloring!
