Confession time. I am not a huge lover of donuts. But I do love donut designs and funny donut sayings! These Donut SVG Cut Files were super fun to create and I thought it’d be fun to use them as tags for gifting donuts to my donut loving friends.
What I love about SVG files is that you don’t have to use them as cut files. The print and cut feature of Cricut is one of my favorite ways to use a SVG File. Download these Donut Files and upload them into Cricut Design Space. You can use the svg or the png to create a print and cut project. I created a gift tag design in Cricut Design Space. Size the donut designs to fit onto the gift tags. Change any of the colors that you want changed. Highlight the design for each tag and click flatten.
Once your designs are flattened you will see the design as one layer in the layers panel and it will have a little printer next to it showing it is a print and cut layer. Lastly select and highlight each design with the tag it will be printed on and flatten. You will have 4 layers once all the flattening is done, one layer for each tag. Print the tags onto card stock, place on cutting mat, select cardstock as the cutting material and cut with your Cricut.
These Donut SVG Cut Files are part of the the newest Fresh Cut SVG Bundle Sweet Shoppe. This bundle is full of all the sweetest designs you could ever want. Just look how cute these designs are! These would be fun to use for Birthday parties, Gifts and more. This bundle is worth over $100 if you purchased the designs separately, so this is a smokin deal!
How to Make a Donut Bouquet DIY
To make a donut bouquet DIY you will need an assortment of your favorite donuts. I decided to use regular donuts and donut holes. You will also need, styrofoam, box/vase/container, tissue paper and skewers.
Secure the styrofoam in your base of choice. Put the donuts onto skewers. Use the donut holes and stack a few on a skewer and you can also put a donut hole on the skewer with a regular donut to help keep the donut from sliding down the skewer. Some of the filled donuts had a hard time staying on the skewer without sliding down.
Place tissue paper on top of the styrofoam and just stick the skewered donuts through the tissue paper into the styrofoam. Add varying heights of the donuts to give it a nice full look. Adding those skewers with the donut holes helps give it some fullness and height.
Use some bakers twine to tie one of your Donut Gift Tags around your donut bouquet DIY. Now it’s ready for gifting!
I know a few people who would love to get a donut bouquet. This donut bouquet was super fun to make and adding a “punny” tag is just the kind of gift I love to give.
