As Easter approaches the kids get really excited for the Easter bunny, easter egg hunts and candy.  My kids are still little and sometimes don’t always understand the real meaning of certain holidays.  I want them to be excited but to also understand the importance of Easter and that it is for us to remember the life and resurrection of our Savior.

So when I found out about these awesome printables created by Paging Supermom, I knew they were perfect to help teach my kids about the true meaning of Easter.  I collaborated with my friend Laura from Pink Cake Plate to put together a fun Easter brunch for kids.  There are so many wonderful details that it was hard to share just a few pictures. So I apologize for the picture overload. 🙂

As I mentioned before, we used the #hallelujah printables for our Easter brunch.  We used the Easter flags for our party straws.  But one of my favorite things were these scripture napkin rings.  We decided to use them as drink wrappers for the kids juice bottles.  We took turns reading the scriptures to help us know the story of Jesus crucifixion and resurrection.  I made a special party punch just for our kids brunch, a peach bellini party punch mocktail.  The kids loved the peach flavor and the fresh peaches inside.

Laura made these empty tomb rolls to show the kids how the tomb was filled but after 3 days it was empty.  They sure loved how sweet and tasty these rolls were.  They were a great addition to our Easter brunch.

We punched out the hallelujah tags and on the back we attached more scriptures to hang from our Easter egg tree.  They helped bring some fun color and decor to our table.

We had fun putting together this sweet little party for the kids.  We had fun making yummy treats to add to our table and place settings.  Make sure and check out Laura’s post to see how she made the cute little yellow bunnies and nest cookies we set at each place.  She also made the cute chocolate peanut butter eggs.

Another one of my favorite printables in the set is the He Lives banner.  The colors are perfect and the message is exactly what an Easter celebration is all about.

When it comes to an Easter brunch for kids, keep the food simple.  Add in some fun treats, a yummy drink and you have a great simple party to help bring the message of Easter to your family.

How do you share the meaning of Easter with your friends and family?  I’d love to hear your family traditions.

 Happy Easter!

That peach drink recipe sounds yummy! We have traditional Passover foods at our house on Easter.

So cute! I love how you put the scripture tags on the back of the punchables — so smart! XOXO
