So I’ve never been a big Halloween fan. As a kid I wouldn’t dress up scary, I wanted to be something cute and since then, I’ve never enjoyed dressing up for Halloween. Luckily my kids are still little enough that they are ok with whatever I want to dress them up as. And usually, it’s cute, not scary. So I’m surprised that I am having a Halloween favorite things giveaway.
The last couple years however, I’ve found that there are some fun things that come along with Halloween. Especially since I had kids. They help me get into more of a Halloween spirit. I love to have some cutesy Halloween decor around my house, especially on my front door. This skull and cross bones wreath is too cute to be scary! But the kids like to pretend it’s scary.
I love fall colors, and Halloween means finally able to celebrate the fall season. Even though we don’t really have the fall weather here in AZ.
And of course, Halloween is all about candy! My most favorite this time of year is Candy Corn! I love to eat candy corn with peanuts and chocolate chips. It tastes like a Snickers and I like to pass it out to our neighbors.
I also think having Halloween parties for my kids and their friends is super fun. So I always like to have party decorations, goody bags and cute ways to tie up treats for our friends on hand.
I also love Target and their dollar spot section! 🙂

I love the costumes the most.

My favorite thing about Halloween is getting to dress up as my favorite characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus :)!
I love Hocus Pocus! I have actually never seen the Nightmare Before Christmas. Unless you count the decorated Haunted Mansion at Disneyland!
Favorite part is my kids’ excitement over it all! I even love to see others’ little kids’ excitement as they come to the door.
My favorite thing is definitely my children dressing up.

Our favorite thing from Halloween is finding costumes for the girls… that is an adventure for sure, especially the big girl keeps changing her mind… LOL!

I always liked to get creative about the costumes. It was a sad day when all my kids got out of high school and didn’t dress up anymore. But last year 3 granddaughters decided they wanted to be matching Barbie Musketeers and asked me to make their costumes. My Halloween cup is filling up again. And the candy. Thanks.

What I love most about Halloween is the creative costumes and decorations. When I was a kid, most parents bought those plastic masks and nylon one-piece suits for their kids. I’m so happy those days are over and imaginations are now in style!
