These free printable love handlettering practice sheets will have you creating all kids of hand lettered cards for your Valentine this year.
You may have noticed I’m a bit obsessed with handlettering right now. I love taking a few minutes every day to practice and improve my handlettering. I thought it would be fun to combine handlettering and Valentine’s Day. These two handlettering practice sheets have different ways to write the word love and other Valentine’s phrases. They are sure to help in any effort to create homemade cards for your loved ones this Valentine’s Day.
One page is for using smaller brush calligraphy pens. My go to pen is the Tombow fudenosuke soft nib pen, but they only come in black. I found these pentel sign brush pens in lots of fun colors and they are my new favorite!
The second page is created for bigger brush pens. I love the Tombow dual brush pens. These are what I used to create these practice sheets. They come in lots of different colors too.
When I print out handlettering practice sheets, I try and print them out on HP laser jet printer paper. It’s really smooth and doesn’t ruin the tips of my nice brush pens. And I don’t have a laser printer and it printed out fine. But if you don’t have that paper, print them on regular printer paper and cover them with a smooth tracing paper or my favorite, this Canson marker paper.
