Brush lettering and hand lettering has become my most favorite past time this last year.  That’s right, it’s been a year of practicing.  I still have a long way to go, but it has been such a stress reliever for my to just sit and let the pens flow on the paper.  I don’t always like how things turn out, so that is why I practice, practice, practice.

My favorite brush pens to use are the Tombow dual brush pens and the Sharpie brush pens.  I like how easy the Tombow dual brush pens blend together and that using the small tip, I can clean up any messy areas of my brush lettering designs.  Plus they have 90+ colors.  So you are sure to find the look you want. I love how easy the Sharpie brush pens flow.  They brush tip is really flexible, and it can help create a different and fun brush lettering look.

I love how smooth my brush pens write on this marker paper.  I think it helps keep my tips from fraying, so they last longer, plus if I’m using the sharpie brush pens, they don’t bleed through.  Plus I only have to print the brush lettering practice sheets once and cover it with the marker paper to copy and practice the letters and strokes.
