In case you haven’t noticed, I really enjoy designing cut files. Being able to use my hand lettering skills and take my designs from paper or my iPad and put them onto projects is so amazing to me! Thanks to my hand Cricut cutting machines Cricut cutting machines (yes that’s plural), the possibilities seem endless and I couldn’t love it more.
Not only do I offer free cut files here on the blog, but I also have some super fun cut files in my on-line shop. I’d love for you to check them out and tell me some of your favorites. I know I have a few favorites myself.
I know things are crazy in the world right now. Our new normals mean more time at home and no socializing with friends and neighbors. So our Easter celebrations will look different than in years past.
It doesn’t mean we still can’t have a fun time. Especially when it comes to decorating our homes and our gear with fun Easter cut files.
Free Happy Easter Cut File
This file actually comes with 2 options when making your project. Once opened up in your cut software, you can decide if you want to use hoppy with the ears, or a plain happy. Then you can place that over the Easter as you wish.
If using iron-on vinyl, like I did, make sure you either use the slice tool to remove any overlapping areas, but you don’t have to do that.
Press the Easter layer on first using an EasyPress or Iron. Remove the plastic cover sheet and add the hoppy layer. Make sure to cover all the Easter layer with something protective. You can even use the piece of plastic you just removed. You DO NOT want the iron to touch the vinyl without a protective cover of some sort.
Check out this post on how to create a custom shirt for a full tutorial on using 2 layers in Cricut Design Space.
