I was so lucky to get to see a pre screening of the latest Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi.

Let me start by saying, my son and I LOVED The Last Jedi.  It picks up right where The Force Awakens ends.  So watching it before you go, just as a refresher is a good idea.  It is a long movie, so make sure you use the bathroom before you go.  You DO NOT want to miss anything.  It is action packed, which is what we love about Star Wars movies.  And there was quite a bit of humor in The Last Jedi, which I loved.  There is a little more character development with some of the main characters in this film to help us understand them better.  The struggle between the light and dark forces is of course, on point.  And it is really great to see a beloved hero back in action.

As far as taking kids to see the movie, I was comfortable taking my 9 year old to see the film.  I didn’t feel like the language was bad or too adult for his ears.  Of course there are light sabers and battles, but nothing I felt was too bloody and gory.  My 7 year old daughter can’t wait to see it and I’m going to let her.

When I thought about what I wanted to create in partnership with seeing the new movie, I wanted to make a Star Wars themed printable.  With the passing of Carrie Fisher shortly after the movie was filmed, I thought it fitting to throw it back to one of the epic themes in the Star Wars franchise.  The love between Leia and Han.  It is classic and one of the biggest movie quotes of all time (I know).
