We are total Star Wars fans at our house. Even my littlest (4 year old) loves the movies. I love that it’s a movie series that I’m comfortable watching together as a family. These Star Wars Birthday Party Invitations are actually inspired by the new Solo A Star Wars Story.
I was able to see an early screening of the new movie and I can’t wait to tell you about it! Not to worry, this review has NO spoilers.
I consider myself a Star Wars fan. I’m probably not a die hard fan that I know all the ins and outs of the movies, but I’ve watched them many times and know the story and the characters pretty well. When I saw that they were doing a movie all about Han Solo I was super excited! I then saw the posters with Alden Ehrenreich to play Han Solo. WHAT?!?! I was super skeptical about this new guy trying to play Han Solo as well as Harrison Ford. I will say, I was impressed. He did an amazing job of bringing a younger, sweet talking scoundrel to life on the big screen. Seeing how Han becomes the Han Solo we know and love from A New Hope, made me appreciate him more. And not just Han, but how Chewbacca and Lando become part of the Star Wars story. The movie was cast very well.
If you are looking for Jedi and The Force in this movie, you will not find it. And that was ok with me. There were some Ah Ha moments where my husband and I elbowed each other during the movie to make sure we each caught it. They did a great job of making this truly a story about Han Solo but weaving a bit of the series into it. Even if you are not a huge Star Wars fan, this movie would be a great one to see. It’s got action, adventure and can stand alone as A Star Wars Story.
My son can’t wait to go see this one in the theater, and that is fine with us. We plan on taking the whole family to see this one.
When I got home from the movie, I knew I wanted to create a Galactic Star Wars inspired printable and knew my son would love a Star Wars birthday party. Although his birthday isn’t for a few months, I’m actually feeling on top of it this year.
