Ok planner peeps!  If you love decorating your planner with stickers, this project is for you.  Sometimes it is really hard to find stickers that you love or for a specific purpose when you want to plan out and decorate for the month.  Well now you can create stickers for whatever you need.

To make your own planner stickers using Cricut Design space and Cricut pens, you’ll need:

A Cricut Machine with drawing/writing capability (Maker or Explore)

Cricut Pens (I used the Candy Shop Pen Set)

Cricut Sticker Paper

Cricut Design Space (Cricut Access)

Planner Sticker Project File

You can make your own planner stickers as simple or as complicated as you’d like.  You can use the free elements that come with Cricut Design space or use some of the images available in Design Space with your monthly access subscription.

For my planner stickers, I used only elements that I found in Cricut Access.  I have the monthly subscription so I have access to thousands of images to use in my designs as I create in Design Space.  All machines come with some free shapes, fonts and elements.  It’s nice to have one of the Cricut Access plans, if you want to create something like these stickers.  It gives you lots of options and design choices to use when designing your planner stickers.  Although these designs are great for planner stickers, they’d be cute cut out of vinyl for notebooks or t-shirts or even out of cardstock to make your own cards.

Start a new project in Cricut Design space and start by creating boxes and squares that will fit inside the boxes of your favorite planner.  Make these cut boxes/circles and change the color to white.  Inside the cut boxes and circles, add text, making sure to select writing style instead of regular when you pick your font.  In the layers panel, change the font from cut to write and choose the color pen you want to use for the words.  Go into design space and pick out some designs you’d love to see in your planner and add those to your project.  Size them to fit inside your cut boxes/circles and change them to the pen tool and select the color you want the designs to be drawn in.

Once you’ve created your stickers, place them on the mat so that they will fit on an 8.5 x 11 size sticker paper sheet.  Select all and attach so that they will all be on one page.  Click make it and and make sure everything is on one mat.  Click continue and place sticker paper onto your cutting mat.  Turn on your machine, load your cutting mat and select your material, sticker paper.  Before you hit the go button, the screen will tell you which color pen to load into clamp A of your cutting machine.  Make sure it clicks in and clamp the pen down.  Then click go.

Once the machine is done using one color pen, it will pause and tell you which pen to insert next.  When you have changed out the color, click the go button again and it will continue drawing your planner stickers.  Once it’s done drawing with the last color, the machine will start cutting your designs.
