This hand lettered and hand drawn pumpkin cut file is a great reminder to celebrate the fall season with both thanks and giving.

I think I’m stuck on gold when it comes to my Thanksgiving decorations this year.  I just put up this Count Your Blessings wall art in gold foil, and now I’ve created this thanks and giving hand lettered pumpkin cut file out of gold glitter cardstock.  Luckily it’s perfect for the season, goes with my decor and I love it!

SVG files are the best and easiest to use when cutting an image with the Cricut.  If you aren’t sure how to upload an SVG file to design space, check out this video for a quick tutorial.

Once you have uploaded the file, you can change the size to fit your project.  I wanted to keep my project easy and mount it onto a 12×12 piece of scrapbook paper.  I sized my pumpkin to 10×10 (approx) so I’d have an inch on each side of the pumpkin to show off the cute paper underneath.

I loaded my gold sparkle cardstock onto the light grip mat and into the Cricut Explore Air 2.  I made sure my material was selected to glitter cardstock and pressed go. Gently remove the design from the mat.  Working with cardstock is a bit more difficult than working with vinyl.  Cardstock doesn’t have that nice backing to keep things together.  Once I had all the pieces off the mat, I used Tombow xtreme adhesive to glue the pumpkin design to my patterned scrapbook paper.

I loved this gold frame and thought it’d be perfect for this pumpkin design.  Although I love all the gold, I felt it needed more color.  I just purchased this square boxwood wreath recently and it was the perfect size for my frame.  I used some pipe cleaners to attach the frame to the boxwood wood wreath.  Then I added some wire edged ribbon to hand it on my door.

I think the boxwood wreath gives it just the perfect amount of color, don’t you?
