Be prepared for a boat load of candy corn goodness this month. We are gearing up for Halloween and fall around here. Even though it’s still over 100 degrees here. UGH! I love using candy corn as a theme in my Halloween decor. It’s bright and fun and not to mention, delicious! 🙂 To make this watercolored candy corn Halloween decor you will need:
watercolors and watercolor brush (I used this palette)
Candy Corn SVG cut file – part of the Halloween Fresh Cut Bundle
I used my watercolor palette and created an easy watercolor background on a piece of watercolor paper. I wanted it to not look perfect and kind of free flowing. And I love how it turned out with the ombre look.
While I waited for my piece to dry, I uploaded my candy corn svg cut file into Cricut Design Space. I resized the design to approx. 6 inches wide. I wanted it to fit inside an 8×10 frame. I loaded the vinyl onto the cutting mat and cut out the design.
Once the design was cut and weeded, I covered the design with transfer tape and placed it onto my dried watercolored paper.
I gently removed the transfer tape, making sure to not remove any of the vinyl. I think it looks pretty good with out a frame too.
To fit it in a frame just trim it to an 8×10.
This Candy Corn SVG cut file is part of an amazing Halloween Cut Files bundle of 10 cut files designed by some of the most talented designers. This bundle is only available during the month of September and then some of the files may be available to purchase as single designs. These designs can be used for t-shirts, party decorations, mugs, bags, etc.
I can’t wait to add this watercolored candy corn to the rest of my Halloween decor.
What theme are you going to use in your Halloween decor this year?
Happy Crafting!
