If you know a guy or gal that loves cooking and baking, this Christmas buy them something they can use in their favorite room in the house, the kitchen! Check out these 10 gifts for the home baker.
I love my kitchen. I spend a lot of time in there fixing meals for my family. And although I don’t love cooking most days, I do love baking. Maybe I just love dessert better than dinner. 😉 I think it’s just carbs in general, bread, rolls, cakes, pies, cookies, etc. They are just so good and so pretty! Maybe a steak could be considered pretty too, but I don’t like to make steak, I like to order it from the restaurant.
I’ve linked to all of these items on Amazon to make shopping super easy for you. I do receive a small commision if you purchase using my link, but there is no added cost to you.
I like to not only have tools in my kitchen that are useful, but look good too. I find I use them more often when I can see them out on my counter top, readily available. Especially my large mixer. I actually have a Bosch mixer, and I love it, but my Kitchen Aid is right on my counter top, so I use it a bit more than my Bosch. I like that you can get a Kitchen Aid in any color to match your kitchen. And most people probably don’t keep them right on their counter all the time, so maybe color isn’t a big deal to most, but they sure have some pretty ones to choose from.
I also love a functional mixing bowl. I love the ones with the spout when I’m making cookies and brownies. It’s so easy to pour it right in your baking pan. That’s why I love this Red polka Dot mixing bowl from the Pioneer Woman. Darling!! I don’t know if you’ve seen much of her line of cookware, but I love the 4 cup measuring cup and measuring bowls too.
When it comes to cookie making, I use a specific type of baking sheet. I love these Half sheet size baking sheets/jelly roll pans. I think they are the perfect size for an oven and fitting a dozen cookies. They are also a great size to make texas sheet cake and cookie bars. If we are talking cookies, you gotta have Cookie Scoops. I love having different sizes available. We make mini cookies and large cookies all the time. I also use the large scoop for scooping out cake batter for cupcakes. And I always use a Silpat baking mat on my sheet pan when making cookies to keep them from sticking.
If you do any kind of mixing, you are going to need Scrapers and Wooden spoons to get all that good stuff on the sides of your bowl. I use both when I’m baking. Some people may like one more than the other.
Of course, you need something to measure all those ingredients for your delicious dessert. And this Mason Jar measuring cup stack is just darling! Another baking tool that looks good out on the counter. When it comes to Measuring spoons, I like to keep it simple and functional.
Some people don’t have the space or money for a large stand mixer like a Kitchen Aid or a Bosch, so a good Hand Held electric mixer is a great option. And I actually will use both at the same time to make 2 different aspects of a recipe, or 2 different recipes at the same time.
I tend to be a bit messy with flour, vanilla and eggs getting everywhere when I’m baking. Usually my recipes cards take a real beating after I’m done and look pretty bad, so I could really use a Recipe Holder book to slide all my recipe cards into and keep them clean.
So I actually have a few more than 10 gifts for the home baker in this post, but I really use all these things and absolutely love them. I know that your favorite at home baker will love these gifts too.
Happy Gifting!
