Cadence at Gateway | Housing Community in Mesa AZ

I didn’t think I was looking for a new home, but after an invite to check out the new Cadence at Gateway master-planned community in Mesa off Ray and Ellsworth Roads, I’m having second thoughts.

This place has EVERYHING. (Except Free Coke instead of Free Pepsi but I won’t hold that against them.)

From pools and twisty slides that made me feel like I was at a high-end resort, to a fitness center with equipment for cardio, Pilates, spin classes and cross training, to a really cool game room area with shuffleboard, ping pong, foosball and arcade games. Plus tennis, bocce, basketball and pickleball courts, a garden, dog park, kid park and more. So you can cancel your gym membership and never buy waterpark season passes again. All the perks at the community center are included in a $125 HOA which seems crazy low to me for all that I saw at the community center area.

Their October 20th grand opening included four builders: Lennar and the NextGen® homes, Pulte, Gehan Homes and David Weekley Homes. The builders are in nine different neighborhoods that have really cool parks and trails less than 300 feet from everyone’s front door.

I toured a Gehan Home model, since I wasn’t familiar with this builder. I loved that it was right next to the new Queen Creek Elementary School site that will be open Fall 2019. It would be so easy for my kids to walk or ride their bikes to school every day! That was actually one of my favorite things about the entire community. Everything was so connected and open. There are so many trails and meandering sidewalks, I envisioned family bike rides to the pool and back home every day next summer.

The Gehan homes I saw were gorgeous. I loved the finishes, really classic tiles, interesting wall finishes, even some wainscoting in the hall, that made it feel classic, yet modern and ready to move-in. I loved the penny tile in the hall, and gorgeous tilework in the entrance. Plus, sliding glass doors led from the family room/kitchen area to the outside BBQ with a great view of the San Tan mountains.
