I was provided products to host a Disney preschool playdate party. All opinions are my own.
Share your love of Disney with your neighbors and friends by hosting a Disney Playdate Party. Fun and simple ideas to host a fun party for kids and their moms.
I am all about any excuse to host a get together. Especially if the theme for the party happens to include Disney. No excuses needed, a playdate was in order. My daughter is always asking to have friends over to play and I love getting together with my friends too. That is what is great about playdates, they can include kids and parents.
I tend to wait until the last minute to put parties together. I plan them in my head for several weeks in advance. They always come together in the end and that is because I like to keep things simple. Simple decorations, simple menu and simple activities.
I was sent all the party supplies to host a playdate and those supplies included some decorations. The decorations were meant for hanging from the ceiling. But I decided I needed a back drop for my food table and cut all the decorations apart so they were flat and then attached them to the window for my backdrop. They were the perfect backdrop! Bright, colorful and shiny, which added to the fun of the playdate party theme.
Take a look at some of the details of the party. A veggie tray doesn’t have to be boring! We took 2 of the kids favorites from a veggie tray and created a Mickey Mouse head out of the olives. It was such a simple easy thing to do and everyone loved it!
Instead of making a bunch of sweets, I created this really fun Mickey Mouse munch mix. It was the perfect combination of salty and sweet. Using ingredients that would give it a Mickey Mouse look was really fun. I’m not sure who loved it more. The moms or the kids?!?!
I always try to keep the menu at a playdate simple and kid friendly. It’s no fun spending a bunch of time on a party menu when no one will eat it.
Along with all the fun party goods, we were sent some fun Disney party games for our Disney playdate party. The kids had fun playing the Disney World Bingo game. They had fun searching for their favorite characters and rides on the bingo cards. There was even a cool prize for the winner!
Next we played a simpler version of charades. I cut out these character cards and showed them one at a time to the group of kids. When they saw the character they each tried to act like or say something the character would. It was cute to see what they all came up with.
I like to keep playdates short and sweet and this was perfect! Some good food, a game or two and then letting the kids run around a play for a bit is the best kind of playdate! Being that it was Disney themed was just an added bonus! 🙂
The girls sure loved their Disney playdate party. They said it was the best day ever!
