Have you guys started your St. Patrick’s Day decorating? I sure haven’t. I’ve never been one that’s big into St. Patrick’s Day, but as my kids get older, I like doing things fun with or for them for each holiday. The other day I decided to make up some of these Lucky Clover Marshmallow Treats. They were easy, yummy and are a perfect treat for St. Patrick’s Day.
When I saw this green box of lucky charms to celebrate 50 years, I knew I just had to make something. How perfect that they are celebrating with a box full of green 4 leaf clovers! And right at St. Patrick’s Day. Someone must’ve been thinking ahead. 🙂
Here is how you make them:
Microwave 3 TBL butter in microwave safe bowl until melted. Add 5.5 cups mini marshmallows and toss to coat. Microwave marshmallows and butter for 1.5 minutes and stir until everything is combined and smooth. Mix into 6 cups Lucky Charms cereal until coated. Spread into 9×13 well greased pan and let set. I had to grease my hands with butter and press it down into the pan.
These treats were good just plain as is. But I wanted to make them even more yummy and a little special. So I decided to dip them into some candy melts (you know I love candy melts) and give them some sprinkles.
I found some marshmallow flavored candy melts that I thought were perfect for these treats. But if you can’t find marshmallow flavored, you could always just use regular white or even green with white or gold sprinkles would be cute too.
You can see how to candy dip your marshmallow treats here.
I always like to give little treats away to the neighbors and our friends. So I decided to bag up each individual dipped treat and tie it with bakers twine.
I created a simple Lucky printable perfect for any St. Patrick’s Day gift or treat you may want to give out.
