I don’t think I’ve mentioned the party invitations. There was no need to create my own when I was able to purchase them at the store. I thought I was just getting invitations when I purchased them, but it turns out that they come with thank you postcards too! Writing those thank you notes is going to be super easy now!
I did create a couple of printables to help with our princess party. I created some thank you tags that I could attach to the goodie bags.
When I was looking through all the party goods in the aisle, I loved these cups. I thought it would be fun to send one home with each of the children. My daughter picked out the mega mix pack with all the party goodies and I decided the cup would be a perfect “goodie bag”. Now again, I didn’t want to have to purchase all the toys and candy in the store to fill these cups so I used a piece of crumpled tissue paper in the bottom of the cups to fill it up. Then I added the princess goodies to the cup.
I wanted to wrap them with clear cellophane but I didn’t have any. I also couldn’t find any at the store. When I was getting ready to leave, I passed the floral section and noticed the plastic bags that you use to put your bunch of fresh flowers in. Then it hit me! I could use those bags for my wrapping. I trimmed off the tops and wrapped some twine around them. I added a cute princess wand and a thank you tag. I set one at each seat around the table for the party princesses.
You can download the princess thank you tags using the link below. All printables are for personal use only and can not be sold or claimed as own.
I also created more princess tags to use as cupcake toppers or food toppers. I used a 2.5 inch scalloped circle cutter to punch these out. Then I glued them to paper straws.
I bought a cake from the bakery. I ordered a double layer cake with plain white buttercream. I wanted to decorate it myself. I used one of the foil crowns from the swirl decorations and added toothpicks to the back with some hot glue and stuck the crown in the back. I then stuck some of the princess printables in the cake as well. I used these printables in some of the food too. I also stuck a couple on the drink dispenser.
They can really be used anywhere. You can download the princess tags using the link below. All printables are for personal use only.
We had a great afternoon being princesses and celebrating the birthday girl!
I was so happy to throw my daughter a party she was excited about. And it was really nice that I could get everything that I needed in one place.
Do you have a favorite birthday memory? Or maybe a favorite birthday theme from a party you’ve thrown? I would love to hear it!
Happy Partying!
