Hotels Near Disneyland – On Property
First of all, if you can budget to stay at one of three Disneyland Resort hotels, I definitely recommend it! There are a number of perks to doing so with Get Away Today, and if you are able to book by March 16, 2019, you can get 25% off select rooms for select dates.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa – As the name implies, this hotel is inside Disney California Adventure Park. The Hotel & Spa boasts multiple pools, restaurants and a little sprinkling of Disney magic. Many of the rooms can comfortably sleep up to 5 guests, and have amenities such as a mini fridge, laundry services and merchandise delivery from the Resort. Also, the Napa Rose restaurant, located inside Disney’s Grand Californian, is where Princess Character Dining will be available beginning March 30, 2019! In addition to this exclusive attraction, the Hotel & Spa also offers guests their own private entrance to Disney California Adventure Park.
Disneyland Hotel – While the pool at the Disneyland Hotel is undergoing refurbishments until May of this year, there are still a lot of other perks to staying here! There are themed rooms that are a nod to the Disneyland Resort’s origins, and it is just steps away from Downtown Disney as well as the Parks. Most rooms will sleep up to 5 guests, and they have magical touches like light up headboards and vintage artwork. Goofy’s Kitchen offers a Character Dining experience that you won’t soon forget. Plus, if you’re craving a late night Dole Whip and Disneyland Park is already closed, fear not! Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar is located right in the plaza of the hotel, and open until 1:30am. Talk about a perfect midnight snack.
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel – For a beachy theme, consider staying at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. If you’re lucky, you’ll find a room with a view of Disney California Adventure Park! The Paradise Pier Hotel boasts a rooftop pool and Donald Duck’s Seaside Breakfast at PCH Grill. Again, most rooms at this hotel near Disneyland comfortably sleep up to 5 guests and will put you just steps away from all the action at the Resort.
Staying at one of these three hotels near Disneyland offers daily access to Extra Magic Hour, which is early admission to either Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. Extra Magic Hour days for Disneyland are typically Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Extra Magic Hour days for Disney California Adventure are typically Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There are also a number of recreational activities with the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, like early-morning power walks through Disney California Adventure Park, movie nights on rooftop decks, spa services, themed pools and more.

Candlewood Suites – The apartment-style suites at the Candlewood hotel will make you feel right at home! The kitchens make it an easy and affordable option to prepare some meals yourself, and the dishwasher makes clean up a breeze. This resort offers free parking when you book with Get Away Today, and it is also eligible for a fourth night free on select dates. Think of all the extra churros you can buy when you get that fourth night free at the hotel! Located just one mile from the Disneyland Resort, you can use the $5 shuttle to get back and forth. Other amenities include the outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi, a fitness center and cable TV.

This hotel near Disneyland also offers complimentary, full breakfast, with a fridge and microwave in each room. The Red Lion Hotel is a newer resort, and most rooms will comfortably sleep up to 4 guests. Other amenities include an outdoor pool, a fitness center, free Wi-Fi and cable TV and an in-house restaurant.
Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel – Recently my daughters and I had the opportunity to stay at the HOJO Anaheim on a recent visit to the parks. Their renovated rooms in their tower are very clean and comfortable. We loved that it was less than a 10 minute walk from the entrance to Disneyland. We didn’t have to pay for parking at the hotel or the park. Our tower room faced the park and we could see the Matterhorn and Space Mountain from our room. We could even enjoy the fireworks from our balcony. The girls loved the waterpark and it was nice to spend an afternoon relaxing by the heated pool.
These recommendations for hotels near Disneyland just barely scratch the surface when it comes to what is available.
