When you want to bring the whole family to Disneyland, and there is more than 4 of you, you will need one of these Disneyland Hotels For Large Families.
When planning a trip anywhere and needing hotel accommodations, it can get kind of crazy with my family of 5. So many hotels work great when you only plan to have 4 in a room. Things get a bit more complicated when you start adding family members.
When traveling to Disneyland, I like to try and do my best at getting the best value to make the most of our budget. To keep costs down, I always try to find a place to stay where we can all fit in 1 room. But I also want to make sure we will be comfortable.
Best Disneyland Hotels for Large Families
Everyone has different requirements when it comes to hotel accommodations for our Disneyland trip. All of these hotels have different things to offer. Like room types, room sizes, prices, proximity to the park, free breakfasts and many more amenities. Here are 10 Disneyland hotels that will fit a family of 6. And some will have room for more.
I have started with the value properties below and worked up to the more deluxe properties. There is something for every budget. I have either stayed at or toured all of these properties. So rest assured that I would not recommend them if I wouldn’t stay there myself.
Castle Inn & Suites
The Castle Inn & Suites is located right across the street from Disneyland. It is just a 5 minute walk to the park entrance. Kids love the fun castle theme. And parents will love the value rates.
This hotel has several different room types. And each room comes with a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. They have family suites that have 2 queen beds and 1 king bed. They also have executive suites that have 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa.
The standard room at the Castle Inn & Suites comes with 2 queens. So when booking this hotel, make sure you select the correct room type for your larger party. Check rates and see the different room types for the Castle Inn and Suites.

Desert Palms
The Desert Palms is just 1 block from Disneyland. Very walkable to the parks. In fact, you can see Avengers Campus from their top floor breakfast room. Yep, they offer free breakfast everyday.
This property offers so many room types. They have suites with full kitchens. But all their room types include at least a microwave and mini fridge if you don’t get the full kitchen suite.
You can find 1 bedroom suites with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. Or if your kids love bunk beds, they do have a king room with full size bunk beds. And it’s almost like a kids suite with its own tv. Check rates and all the room types for the Desert Palms.
Grand Legacy At The Park
The Grand Legacy at the Park is located right across the street from Disneyland. It is a 3 minute walk to the entrance. It has great theme park views, and you can even watch the fireworks from the hot tub or from right outside your room.
The Grand Legacy is in the process of updating their rooms. They have different room types, so when booking, make sure you get the premier or deluxe room. Those are the rooms that offer the 2 queen beds. And some have even been updated already.
When looking to book a room for more than 4, they have a 1 bedroom suite that has 2 queens in a room with a sleeper sofa in the other room. And if you want to try and sleep up to 8 or 10, they have room options for that too. You may need to call and book this hotel over the phone for their larger room options.

Embassy Suites South
The Embassy Suites south is just over a mile from Disneyland. It’s technically in Garden Grove, but just down the street on Harbor from the park. It’s a bit farther than I like to walk, it’d take about 25 minutes if you were to walk to the park.
Even though it is a bit farther of a walk, there is an ART shuttle bus stop right out front. That is my preferred way to get to and from the park when staying down in that area of Anaheim.
The Embassy Suites South offers a hot breakfast daily with made to order omelets. The breakfast at the Embassy Suites is one of my favorite things about this property.
They also have great rooms. They have 1 bedroom suites that can sleep up to 6. The rooms come with either 2 double beds or 1 king bed in the bedroom area. Then they also have a sleeper sofa in every room. There is a lot of space and storage. But 2 people have to be ok sleeping in a double bed.
You can read a full review of the Embassy Suites South from my recent stay there. We had a great time and loved the free breakfast.
The Cambria
The Cambria Hotel and Suites is about 1.5 miles from the park. It has a 30,000 square foot waterpark that your kids will absolutely love and an amazing free hot breakfast.
Each room at the Cambria comes with a full size refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. And they are all a one bedroom suite. Which means that each room has a sleeper sofa that can sleep 2.
This hotel has the largest room option that I have found in the Anaheim Area. Cambria has an option for accommodations for 11! And when you have 11, it will have 2 bathrooms.
If you don’t need to sleep 11, you can find rooms that sleep 6 or 7. The room with the triple bunk my kids would absolutely love. And if you book your room at the Cambria with Get Away Today, you will get free access to the waterpark.

Each room has a full kitchen and living area that has a sleeper sofa. In the bedroom area you can get either 2 queens or their family suite comes with a king and a triple bunk. You’ll be able to sleep either 6 or 7 depending on the room type.
This hotel has a lot of great amenities beyond the free breakfast. It is a little too far to walk for me, but it is located right next door to the Toy Story Parking Lot which you can walk over to and hop on a bus to the parks. Check rates for the Homewood Suites Convention Center.
