A great place to stay for families planning a visit to the park, the Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim hotel is just minutes walk to the entrance of Disneyland.

My family and I were able to stay at the Homewood Suites during our Spring Break trip to Disneyland. I was super excited for this trip because it was going to be the first time I was taking the 3 kids to Disneyland alone. No husband, no sister, no mom to help wrangle this group.
Luckily my kids were at a great age to be taking them alone to Disneyland. And they are all tall enough that we could do all but one ride together.
One of the things I wanted to make sure we had for this trip, besides a good time, was a comfortable place to stay. Also a place that was close to the parks and included breakfast. I knew I would have some hungry kids and starting out a park day with a full stomach is a sure way to keep the grumpy attitudes away.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim
Located on Harbor Blvd., just a few blocks south of the entrance to Disneyland, this hotel is really in a great location. You can definitely walk to the park, just about 15 minute or so walk. But it is also located right next to the Toy Story parking lot on Harbor.
We just walked over to the parking lot there and grabbed one of the shuttle busses to take us to Disneyland. When the busses are running and the parking lot is open, this is a great option. You could also take the ART bus or drive to the Mickey and Friends parking lot and take the tram to the park. There are so many options.
The Homewood Suites also offers free breakfast. We were able to enjoy a hot breakfast every morning of our stay. Whatever the kids wanted, they loaded up on. Eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, oatmeal and more was ready for us each morning.
When a hot breakfast option is not available, they do offer grab and go boxes. So breakfast is always provided during your stay at the hotel. Enjoying a free breakfast at your hotel is a great way to save a little money while in the parks.
Some of the other highlights from our trip was the pool. It was a great way to take a break during the warm spring afternoon. The kids enjoyed the pool and I was able to get a little work done.
They also have a shallow kiddie pool and a hot tub. Maybe it’s just my kids, but they LOVE a hot tub. They just went back and forth between the pool and the hot tub.
The Homewood Suites also has a small mini golf course and a basketball court. They provide the clubs and balls for each of these areas. These are both found outside by the pool.
You can also find a small building between the pools and the basketball court that is full of arcade games! There is something fun for everyone!
Homewood Suites Rooms
Hilton is working hard to make sure that their hotel rooms are clean and all the high touch point areas are sanitized. You can read more about their cleanliness promise and procedures at the Hilton Clean Stay.
Let’s talk rooms. We stayed in a 2 queen bedroom suite. That had sleeping room enough for 6. Two queen beds in the bedroom with a dresser and closet with plenty of storage.
When you entered the suite, you walked into a full size kitchen. With a full size fridge (not seen in this picture), range, dishwasher, sink, coffee maker, microwave and dishes to use during your stay.
Past the kitchen area, there was a living area with a sleeper sofa and tv. There was even more drawer space for extra storage. We loved having the extra room and tv during our down times. The extra space was perfect for us.
They have a few different options on type of suite that will fit your family’s needs. There is a King bedroom suite with bunkbeds that I think my kids would adore! Maybe on our next trip we will look into that one.
If you are interested in booking a stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim, you can call them directly, or book through my favorite Disney trip planning group Get Away Today. I buy all the Disney tickets through Get Away Today and they are a great partner with the Homewood Suites as well.
As you can see, we totally enjoyed our stay at Homewood Suites. If you are looking for a place to stay to hold your big family, I totally recommend the Homewood Suites. You could also look into their sister property, the Hampton Inn and Suites.
Don’t just take my word for it, here are a few comments I had on my IG stories while we were staying at the Homewood Suites.
- “We stayed there in January when we went to Disneyland and liked it, the breakfast was great. We walked to Disneyland, not that bad.” – Tara
- “We stayed there about 10 years ago on a Disney trip and loved it.” – Kirsty
- “We stayed here when we went to Disneyland! We LOVED it!” – Callie
If you want to see more details of the hotel, the rooms, the breakfast, pool and more, you can check out my Instagram story highlight videos. You can find them on my Disney Instagram account, Disney Food n Fun.
Let me know if you have any questions about the hotel. I’d be more than happy to answer them.
Happy Planning.
