A great place to stay for families planning a visit to the park is the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton. This Anaheim area hotel is just minutes walk to the entrance of Disneyland.

Although I love a good adults only trip to Disneyland, I really enjoy seeing the magic of Disneyland through my kids eyes. I planned a trip to take my 3 kids to Disneyland for my son’s birthday and wanted to make it an extra special trip.
I’ve taken just my kids before one other time and it turned out to be such a fun trip. Yes we love going with the whole family, but the 4 of us do have a good time.
One of the things I wanted to make sure we had for this trip, besides a good time, was a comfortable place to stay. Also a place that was close to the parks and included breakfast. I knew I would have some hungry kids and starting out a park day with a full stomach is a sure way to keep the grumpy attitudes away.
Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Anaheim
Located on Katella Ave., just a few blocks south of the entrance to Disneyland, this hotel is really in a great location. You can definitely walk to the park, just about 15 minute or so walk. But it is also located right next to the Toy Story parking lot on Harbor.
The entrance to the Toy Story Parking lot on Katella does not allow for pedestrian traffic. You can drive next door to the parking lot and park there for the day. You could also take the ART bus or drive to the Mickey and Friends parking lot and take the tram to the park. The ART bus stop is located just across the street.
The Hampton Inn & Suites offers free breakfast. We were able to enjoy a hot breakfast every morning of our stay. Whatever the kids wanted, they loaded up on. Eggs, bacon, cereal and more was ready for us each morning.
When a hot breakfast option is not available, they do offer grab and go boxes. So breakfast is always provided during your stay at the hotel. Enjoying a free breakfast at your hotel is a great way to save a little money while in the parks.
Another highlight from our trip was the pool. The pool is located on the second floor of the hotel. My kids thought it was super cool that the pool was on a roof top.
It was a great way to take a break during the hot afternoon. The kids enjoyed the pool and I was able to relax with a book. And there are no need to worry about towels for the pool. They provide those for you there.
They also have a hot tub. Maybe it’s just my kids, but they LOVE a hot tub. They just went back and forth between the pool and the hot tub.
Hampton Inn & Suites Rooms
Hilton is working hard to make sure that their hotel rooms are clean and all the high touch point areas are sanitized. You can read more about their cleanliness promise and procedures at the Hilton Clean Stay.
Let’s talk rooms. We stayed in a 2 queen room. That had sleeping room enough for 6. Two queen beds along with a pull out sleeper sofa.
When you entered the suite, you walked into a small kitchenette area. There was along counter with a sink and coffee maker. There was a mini fridge and a microwave in this area that we loved for making quick lunches like easy Mac and Cheese or Cup of Noodles.
Upon entering our room, we noticed a surprise! Because we were celebrating a special occasion, my son’s birthday, we called ahead and had them add a little something extra to our room. Even though he was 13 now, he still loved the special gift.
If you are going to be celebrating something special during your stay, give them a call and see what they can do to add some added magic to your trip.
If you are interested in booking a stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Anaheim, you can call them directly, or book through my favorite Disney trip planning group Get Away Today. I buy all the Disney tickets through Get Away Today and they are a great partner with the Hampton Inn & Suites as well.
One last thing. We had a room that faced the direction of Disneyland. One of our most favorite things was that we could sit on the couch or the bed in our room, and watch the fireworks! How awesome does that sky look?
As you can see, we totally enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn & Suites.
Don’t just take my word for it, here are a few comments I had on my IG stories while we were staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites.

If you want to see more details of the hotel, the rooms, the breakfast, pool and more, you can check out my Instagram story highlight videos. You can find them on my Disney Instagram account, Disney Food n Fun.
We’ve also stayed at their sister property that is just around the corner. Read up on the Homewood Suites and see which of these family friendly hotels would work best for you.
Let me know if you have any questions about the hotel. I’d be more than happy to answer them.
Happy Planning.
