Save some money on your next trip to the park and bring your own snacks. Here are some of the Best Snacks To Bring To Disneyland.

One of my favorite things to do is help people plan a trip to Disney. Even though I’m not the one going on the trip, I get just as excited.

Sharing tips on how to prepare for the trip, get the best prices, what to do at the park and ways to save money I share here at Liz on Call and on my DisneyFoodNFun IG account. Here are some great posts to get you planning a great Disneyland vacation.

If you are looking for discounted tickets and hotel accommodations for a trip to Disneyland, I recommend going with Get Away Today. They have been a leading Disneyland partner for over 30 years. Check out this post on Why I Use Get Away Today to get more familiar with the company.

Traveling with kids? I’ve got lots of tips on Traveling To Disneyland with Kids. And if you are looking for Money Saving Tips at Disneyland or Tips for Disneyland when it’s Crowded, I’ve got those too. And if it’s been a few years since your visit, they have a new Fast Pass System called Genie Plus. Read up on how to use Genie + at Disneyland.

Snacks To Bring To Disneyland

Any time you can save some money at Disney, totally helps when planning a trip. And bringing in your own food to the park can really help you save some money.

When I’m planning a trip to the parks with my kids, I always try and pack lots of snacks and even lunch items. We usually plan to only eat 1 meal in the park. And if we have a hotel that provides free breakfast, we can save even more.

Let’s clear up any rumors or misunderstandings you may have about whether or not you can bring snacks, outside food and drinks into the park.

Outside Food And Drinks Into Disneyland

I think one of the questions most people ask themselves when going to Disneyland is, Can I bring outside food and drinks into the park? And the answer is yes!

According to the Disneyland Website, guests are allowed to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages into the parks for their group. However, they can not be in glass containers. And provided they do not require heating, reheating, processing or refrigeration and do not have pungent odors.

Can You Bring A Backpack Into Disneyland

Yes! You can bring a backpack into the parks. I love taking a backpack to Disneyland. See what I pack in my Disney Day Bag for tips on what you may need while at the park.

According to the Disneyland Resort Rules, all coolers, backpacks, and bags can be no larger than 24” long by 15” wide by 18” high. So, as long as your bag fits within these parameters, you shouldn’t have a problem entering the parks with it.

Staying Hydrated at Disneyland

I have never taken a cooler into the parks. But have brought in plastic frozen water bottles in plastic grocery sacks. And I’ve never had an issue with security.

Freezing the water bottles is a great way to make sure you have cold water all day. As the sun warms the day, the frozen water bottle starts to melt and then you can keep filling the bottles with drinking stations that can be found around the park.

Also, you can ask for a free glass of ice water at any of the quick service restaurants. So make sure and drink plenty of water while at the park. The day will not be good if you get dehydrated.

Best Snacks For Disneyland

Over the years I have found some of the best snacks for Disneyland. These snacks are easy to pack, not super messy and things that the kids will enjoy.

Favorite Snacks for Disneyland

These are the snacks my family liked the best. And can also be used for lunch while in the park.

  • Fish Crackers
  • Granola Bars
  • Fruit Snacks
  • Lunchables – keep cool with the waterbottles
  • Uncrustables
  • Chips
  • Trail Mix
  • Peanut Butter Pretzels
  • Ritz crackers with cheese

Sweet Snacks to Bring to Disneyland

  • Pez
  • Candy necklaces/bracelets
  • Lollipops
  • Dum Dums
  • Tootsie Rolls
  • Starbursts
  • Jellybeans
  • Oreos
  • Nutter Butters

Fruits & Vegetables to Take to Disneyland

  • Apples
  • Applesauce pouches
  • Apple Slices (prepackaged)
  • Cutie Oranges
  • Fruit Cups
  • Baby carrots
  • Celery Sticks
  • Sugar Snap Peas

Drinks to Take To Disneyland

I usually like to drink all the frozen drinks at the park. In fact, I have a post about all the Best Drinks in Disneyland. But if you want to bring in something other than water, here are some ides.

  • Capri Sun
  • Crystal Light (we like to take in the packet to add to our water bottles)
  • Vitamin Water
  • Gatorade

Remember you can NOT bring in any alcoholic beverages. Or anything in glass bottles.

Whatever you decide to pack into Disneyland, make sure it’s something your family will eat. I always hate when I carry around snacks all day that no one ever eats. Did your favorite snack make this list? What did I miss that I should add?

You can see all my Disney Travel posts to help you plan your next trip to the parks. And don’t forget to get your discounted tickets from Get Away Today. If you decide to book a 2 day or longer vacation package, including hotel, you can use LIZONCALL and save an additional $10 on your trip. Plus they have a layaway plan!

Happy Planning!

Liz
