Snacks To Bring To Disneyland
Any time you can save some money at Disney, totally helps when planning a trip. And bringing in your own food to the park can really help you save some money.
When I’m planning a trip to the parks with my kids, I always try and pack lots of snacks and even lunch items. We usually plan to only eat 1 meal in the park. And if we have a hotel that provides free breakfast, we can save even more.
Let’s clear up any rumors or misunderstandings you may have about whether or not you can bring snacks, outside food and drinks into the park.
Outside Food And Drinks Into Disneyland
I think one of the questions most people ask themselves when going to Disneyland is, Can I bring outside food and drinks into the park? And the answer is yes!
According to the Disneyland Website, guests are allowed to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages into the parks for their group. However, they can not be in glass containers. And provided they do not require heating, reheating, processing or refrigeration and do not have pungent odors.
Can You Bring A Backpack Into Disneyland
Yes! You can bring a backpack into the parks. I love taking a backpack to Disneyland. See what I pack in my Disney Day Bag for tips on what you may need while at the park.
According to the Disneyland Resort Rules, all coolers, backpacks, and bags can be no larger than 24” long by 15” wide by 18” high. So, as long as your bag fits within these parameters, you shouldn’t have a problem entering the parks with it.
Staying Hydrated at Disneyland
I have never taken a cooler into the parks. But have brought in plastic frozen water bottles in plastic grocery sacks. And I’ve never had an issue with security.
Freezing the water bottles is a great way to make sure you have cold water all day. As the sun warms the day, the frozen water bottle starts to melt and then you can keep filling the bottles with drinking stations that can be found around the park.
Also, you can ask for a free glass of ice water at any of the quick service restaurants. So make sure and drink plenty of water while at the park. The day will not be good if you get dehydrated.
