This Easy Churro Dessert Board would be the perfect compliment to any fiesta, party or even a magical celebration.

Churro Dessert Board 1

If you’ve been around here for awhile you know that I love to be the hostess. I enjoy inviting my friends and family over for good food and fun.

Creating a place people can enjoy each others company, relax and have a good time is one of my favorite things. And luckily my husband doesn’t mind being a host right along with me.

I don’t think a get together ever has to be super fancy or over the top. But I like to create something to bring a little wow factor to the table. See what I did there… table. Haha!

Charcuterie and dessert boards are super popular right now. And for good reason. They bring a wow factor to any event, party or get together. And they are so versatile that you can change up what you put on them to fit your party.

Churro Bar Ideas

Another fun fact about me is that I LOVE Disney. I knew my Sister-in-Law’s birthday was coming up and they would be in town to celebrate. She also is a huge lover of all things Disney, so I wanted to create something magical for her simple celebration.

Putting together this easy churro dessert board was so fun! The possibilities of what to include as far as toppings, is endless. I just picked a few things I knew she, and our family, would enjoy.

Here are some things you will need to create a Churro Dessert Board or if you’d rather make it a Churro Bar, these ideas are helpful as well.

How to Make a Churro Dessert Board

I picked up a box of churros in the frozen food aisle of Smart & Final. The brand is Tio Pete’s. There are 25 in a box and they come full size and with the cinnamon sugar coating.

I cut the churros in half since I wanted to put them on my board and I wanted people to be able to create a couple different churro flavors.

They are so quick and easy to bake. Once they were done baking, I rolled them in the cinnamon sugar mixture that I had poured into a container that was the perfect size. Making sure to get them really good and coated.

Churro Bar Toppings

Once the churros were coated in the cinnamon and sugar mixture, I placed them on my dessert board. As well as the churros, I placed some of our favorite churro toppings on the board.

Some of our favorite churro toppings are: caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, marshmallows, caramel popcorn, sugared nuts, crushed peppermints, peanut butter drizzle, animal cookies, and vanilla frosting drizzle and even bacon.

Once you’ve got your board together, let your guests have fun and create their own delicious combinations. Here are a couple of our favorites. These are straight from Disneyland favorites that I wanted to recreate at home.

The caramel popcorn churro has been one of my absolute favorite churros from the parks. All it took was a drizzle of caramel sauce and a some caramel popcorn. Delicious.

My sister in law (you can find her at Disneyland Tour Guide) loves the chocolate peppermint churro. A drizzle of chocolate sauce and some crushed candy cane and you’re set. It’s really good. And who says peppermint is only for Christmas?

Churro Dessert Board 5

Some other fun combinations would be peanut butter, chocolate and marshmallow, vanilla frosting and animal cookies, carmel and chocolate drizzle with pecans.

Churro Dessert Board 7

Let’s be honest. You really can’t go wrong with a churro bar. Even just plain these are so good! And because we cut them in half, we won’t feel guilty for eating more than one. 😉

Besides creating a wow factor like this dessert board, I always, always have a delicious drink. They are super easy to put together and they are always a hit. Here’s just a couple of my Easy Party Punch Recipes.

I can’t wait for you to try one of these churro dessert boards at your next party. It’s sure to impress.

Happy Hosting!
