I absolutely Love holiday baking! I love baking for my family and for our friends and neighbors. Of course I have to bake some holiday cookies for that special someone that comes around on Christmas Eve. I would think most families with kids have to bake up something sweet for the jolly guy. Maybe Santa doesn’t like cookies at your house, but Santa really loves cookies at our house! Santa also likes pie, and I know he will love these Dutch Apple Pie Cookies with Caramel Sauce.
Since Santa really likes pie and cookies over here, when I was asked to come up with a fun cookie recipe while shopping at Smart & Final, I thought maybe I should combine the 2! Smart & Final is a one stop shop to buy all your items from produce to meats. They carry warehouse size items and regular size items but you don’t have to have a special card to shop there, making it easy and less expensive.
Look at all these first street brand baking products I found to create a yummy cookie! I was even able to buy the kids favorite cereal and produce while I was there.
Once I had purchased all the ingredients to make a yummy cookie, I got right to work. Now these cookies might look like they are a lot of work, but they are pretty easy. They just have a couple steps. Here you can see all the steps to get them to the oven. Once you have everything prepared, put your dough balls on the baking sheet, create a well, add your apples, cover with dutch pie topping and then bake them!
Once they are out of the oven on the cooling rack, you make your caramel sauce to drizzle over the top.
If you don’t like caramel (gasp!) you don’t have to add it. But I think it is the perfect ending to these delicious cookies. I mean, don’t you just want to try these RIGHT NOW!
Now these cookies don’t just have to be for Santa, I’m pretty sure your family and friends would love them too. Do you have apple pie lovers in your house? They would love you forever if you made these cookies for them!

I will have to add these cookies back to my holiday baking list. There is no way they are going to last til then!
