I was provided accommodations at this resort for review. All opinions are my own.
A few months ago my husband and I were invited to go and sample some of the food and the newly renovated Ko’Sin restaurant at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass. My husband had always wanted to check out the resort so we gladly accepted the invitation. The food was amazing and the resort was beautiful. We had such a wonderful time that as my husband’s birthday approached in April, I wanted to plan something special for him. I decided that an overnight stay at the resort would be a fun surprise!
The first thing that I noticed about the Sheraton was how peaceful it was there. As you enter the property and pass the front “gate” you go up over a small incline and then you have the most beautiful view of the golf course, water ways and the resort grounds. The road to the resort meanders through the grounds so you can really take it all in. It’s as if it appears out of nowhere! The lobby has beautiful murals featuring the Native American culture of the surrounding area and land that it’s built on, that is found through out the entire resort.
When we arrived at the resort, we were able to enjoy drinks (non alcoholic of course) out on the patio by the pool. We couldn’t beat the view! I loved that we could see the surrounding lakes and streams from the pool.
My husband builds water features and we loved all the small waterfalls that popped up every now and then. They had some really beautiful water features along the walking path around the resort.
The Sheraton Wild Horse Pass is home to some amazing restaurants. One of them being a AAA five diamond restaurant. We ate at the Ko’Sin restaurant which is their main restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chef’s use local ingredients that are native to the area and the indian heritage of the land. My husband had the bacon wrapped buffalo meatloaf. It was really good. I may have tried a bite or two. 🙂
Our room was nice and comfortable. The bath room was huge! With a nice big shower and a tub.
And the view?!?! Every room has a view of the golf course, the mountains or the man made river built to replicate the Gila River.
I’m not a golfer, but there are 2, 18 hole golf courses on-site. There is also a spa, equestrian center, 4 pools (including one for kids with a slide), two tennis courts, it’s near the Wild Horse Pass Casino, outlet shopping mall and Rawhide Western Town. If you can’t find something on-site to keep you entertained, you’ll be able to find something nearby.
During the summer, my family likes to check out one of the resorts here in the valley and have a little stay cation. It’s fun to get out of the house and relax by the pool. The resorts in the Phoenix area usually have great deals going on in the summer so it makes it better! The Sheraton Wild Horse Pass has a special for the 4th of July weekend. Not only do they have great rates, they also have some fun activities for the whole family. If you or the kids get sick of the pool, there are painting, jewelry making and cooking classes, scavenger hunts and dunk tanks. (Some of those activities may cost a small fee to participate.)
My husband was surprised for his birthday and we both enjoyed our stay. We can’t wait to go back with the kids and enjoy the pool and those water slides!
Do you ever visit the Phoenix area? Or if you live here have you ever planned a stay cation? We love stay cations. Especially when we don’t really have a summer vacation.
Happy Vacationing!
