Well it’s official! My baby turned 1. We wanted to celebrate our little miss’s one sweet year with a rainbow party with our family. I may have gone a little over board for a one year old’s birthday, but hey, it was really fun! And she’s only going to be one once right?!?! 🙂
I created a simple invitation to let our family know we wanted to celebrate with them.
Here are some of the details up close. I created a fun backdrop with paper lanterns and paper fans in all the colors of the party. And as the invitations stated, this was going to be a sweet party!
I made up a colorful candy/dessert table with all different types of treats in rainbow colors.
I had colorful candy scoops and treat boxes with the kids names on them so they could fill their boxes with their favorite treats. The treat boxes were the party favors that each of the kids were able to take home at the end of the party.
For drinks, I filled milk bottles with different colored sodas to match the party theme. The kids were able to pick their favorite color of drink and straw.
The theme of this birthday party all came about because of these silicone cupcake liners. I received these as a gift from my BFF for my birthday last month. I loved the colors and wanted to use them for a special occasion. Baby girl’s party was the perfect special occasion! Aren’t they the cutest?!?!
I used the chalkboard banner I made at a recent craft night and wrote the birthday girl’s name and displayed it for the party with some cute polka dot balloons.
I also made some menus for both the food table and sweets table so the party guests would know what kind of food we would be having. And what would a rainbow party be without a rainbow fruit salad?
I think my favorite party favor of the night were these personalized lollipops I had made for the birthday girl. These lollipops are from Lollipics. Have you heard of Lollipics? They can take your photos and put them right on a lollipop! And the whole thing is edible! I created a fun Happy Birthday picture and had them put it on their pastel rainbow lollipop. Aren’t the colors perfect for our theme? And who wouldn’t love to take home one of those lollis with that sweet face on them? They are too cute to eat. There were enough for each party guest to take their favorite home with them. I think they just made this sweet party extra awesome!
The birthday girl was a big fan of the party and all the sweets! Especially the cupcakes. 🙂

This rainbow party is adorable! I keep telling my husband I need to throw a rainbow party because we have so many colors of party supplies left over from previous parties. I love all the special details you included. Thanks for linking to The Creative Exchange. I am featuring your party this week! xo, Laura
