Going to Disneyland can be expensive, but you can enjoy some yummy treats at the park even if you’re traveling on a budget. Check out these 5 treats for under $5 at Disneyland Park.
A few weeks ago my friends and I were invited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration on the road in Anaheim. We were so excited to have been invited and started planning our trip. We knew we would spend the morning at the conference and enjoying some Disney magic, and then we would spend the rest of the day at the parks. Laura from Pink Cake Plate made us each a #snackgoals t-shirt and we decided we would each set out to find our top 5 treats for under $5 at Disneyland.
Rachel from I love My Disorganized Life, Laura and I started out our adventure by staying at the Grand Legacy at the Park hotel. It was directly across the street from Disneyland. We walked across the street to the park and in the evening we could see the lights from The Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout ride. And if it wasn’t so windy, we could’ve seen the fireworks. It is a great location for families with little ones who might need to take a break in the middle of the day. And there are lots of options around the Grand Legacy to grab some food. And they sent us off to the park with fun snack bag.
Even though we only had half a day to spend in the park, we were able to catch a couple rides and we each found 5 treats for under $5 that we loved and wanted to share with you.
Here are my top 5 treats for under $5 at Disneyland.
#1 DOLE WHIP
This is a Disney Park classic. And although the dole whip float is delicious, the original dole whip soft serve is simply the best. It is a must get every trip! This is found just out side the Enchanted Tiki Room right inside the Adventure Land entrance.
#2 MATTERHORN MACAROON
This is one of my newest must buy treats. I’ve only started buying this in the last couple years. And now I have to get one every trip. If I’m lucky, I get to eat the whole thing by myself, but usually my daughter is begging for a bite. This is found in the Jolly Holiday Bakery at the end of Main Street in Disneyland.
#3 MICKEY BEIGNETS
The Mickey beignet are so so good! You can get 3 of them for less than $5 and that is plenty for my family of 5 to enjoy. They recently had the lost treasure beignets for the celebration of Pirates of the Caribbean 50 years and they also have seasonal flavors like pumpkin in the fall and peppermint during Christmas time. These are found at The Mint Julep Bar which is on the back side of The French Market restaurant in New Orleans Square.
#4 RED’S APPLE FREEZE
Disneyland is full of not just delicious and tasty treats, but drinks as well. And Red’s Apple Freeze at the Cozy Cone in California Adventure is my absolute favorite! It’s fruity, cool and refreshing. And the passion fruit foam on the top is tasty too. Again, I’m lucky if I get to enjoy the whole thing by myself. My kids are big fans of this drink too.
#5 COTTON CANDY
This is the perfect treat if you have a lot of little mouths that want a treat from Disneyland but you don’t want to have to buy a bunch of things. Plus cotton candy is just classic amusement park faire! And at Disneyland, it is never boring. They of course have the classic cotton candy flavor but they are always coming up with new flavors for the season or for events going on at the parks. This red and white electrifying cotton candy was full of pop rocks and only available during the Electrical Light Parade time at Disneyland.
Over the summer we enjoyed the dole whip cotton candy. It’s hard to tell in this photo, but it was yellow and white striped. And tasted just like a dole whip.
During Halloween time we enjoyed the candy corn cotton candy. These are located at carts within both parks. Next time you see the cotton candy, stop and ask what flavor they have that day. You might be surprised and intrigued!
Now you’ve seen my 5 treats for under $5 at Disneyland, but do you remember me mentioning that all 3 of us set out to find our favorites?!?!
You can now have a list of 15 Disneyland treats all under $5.
Hop over to see Rachel’s top 5 treats and then hop on over to see what 5 treats Laura is raving about!
We had a great time on our trip to Disneyland. They always put on a great conference, and we were so excited that they hosted us at Disneyland this year.
Do you see me wearing a new set of Minnie Ears? I won the new rose gold minnie ears at the conference and they were quite a hit in the parks.
We had so much fun and are so thankful for the invitation and the opportunity to experience such a fun day at Disneyland.
Start planning your next Disney trip so you and your family can enjoy these 5 treats under $5.
