Surprise the kids with a fun How To Train Your Dragon movie watching party and make it extra special with this fiery Dragon Party Punch.
When I heard that the 3rd installment of Dream Works How to Train Your Dragon The Hidden World was coming out, I knew we needed to own it. My kids have loved the first 2 movies. We have watched them several times over, and they’ve been reminding me that number 3 was coming to DVD. I stopped in at and found they had an Exclusive DVD Gift Set.
Along with the exclusive DVD gift set, I also found some really fun toys and even some apparel to surpise the kids with. The hard part was going to be deciding which of my kids gets what. The Funko Pop keychains in the DVD gift set, Toothless and Hiccup toy or the super soft throw? I tried to find something for all 3 of them.
Since the kids have been so excited about this movie, I wanted to do something extra special. While at Walmart, I picked up some supplies to make a super fun and yummy party punch. If you’re new around here, easy party punch recipes are one of my favorite things to make. I think they are perfect to make for special occasions or just for fun. They can make any ordinary event extra special.
Dragon Party Punch
Of course if I was planning a movie watching night for How to Train Your Dragon The Hidden World, only a Dragon Party Punch would suffice. I wanted it to include some dragon fruit and wanted it to be a little spicy, a little fiery. I even rimmed the glasses with some cinnamon candy to give it a little heat like the heat of a fire breathing dragon. But a little less intense then that. 🙂 This is a punch for kids after all.
The fresh dragon fruit chunks were added for fun and color. I personally don’t love the taste (or lack there of) of dragon fruit. So feel free to omit that garnish. But I do love this punch and the little kick the ginger ale adds to the mix.

We popped some popcorn as I mixed up the dragon party punch and the kids grabbed all the pillows they could find to get ready for our movie night. They are big fans of Hiccup and Toothless. But sure love the addition of the the new light fury. She’s their favorite dragon now.
Armed with the new movie, a cozy throw, new toys, favorite movie snack and dragon party punch, our family was ready for movie night. This is such a heartwarming, family friendly movie. There was something for all of our family, and our differing movie genre tastes. I just really love that it’s about family and trust and of course a happy ending never hurts. The ending is our favorite part!
We are still not sure who will end up with which How to Train Your Dragon 3 item from . The light fury funko pop keychain is everyones number one pick. And the throw is a close second. It’s just so soft! But they love all the items we purchased. I know your kids would love any of these items too. You will be parent of the year when you throw one of these fun movie watching nights this summer. Head to Walmart and purchase the new release of today!
This movie will be on repeat all summer long. As will this dragon party punch that takes just 10 minutes to mix together.
So when are you planning your next family movie night?
Happy Movie Watching!
