Welcome back to Pie month here at Lizzie Jane Baby!
The whole reason I wanted to feature Pie this month is because of this pie.
It’s called BC’s Banana Cream Pie,
because my father in law loves banana cream pie (the way his mom used to make it) and for years people have tried to make a pie like she used to (with not much success).
For his birthday he requested banana cream and we (my mom) actually came up with a recipe that was the closest.
What’s banana cream if there aren’t a TON of bananas in it?!?!
He likes meringue on his banana cream so this recipe of course includes the meringue.
But you could always top it with whipped cream if you don’t care for meringue.
It sure is one tasty pie!

This pie is pretty easy to make,
even though the meringue might sound a little scary at first.
