This made from scratch carrot cake recipe is 3 layers of deliciousness that is perfect for any Easter celebration.
Nothing screams EASTER like today’s recipe!
I am in charge of bringing dessert to our family Easter dinner this coming sunday so I wanted it to be something perfect for the occasion.
To me, carrot cake is the perfect dessert!
Tasty Tuesday – Carrot Cake
I’ve only ever made carrot cake from a box mix and so I wanted to try and make one from scratch.  I started searching for recipes on Food Network and found a couple that sounded good.  I also wanted to use a recipe that I didn’t have to go out and get special ingredients for.
This is the cake that I ended up with in the end.
It’s moist and delicious and not too dense.

I wanted to show you that even with out all the fun decorations, the cake still looks beautiful and perfect for your Easter table.

I wanted to make it a little more fun because of course, there will be kids there.  I found the edible grass and carrots from the Easter section at Target.  My kids loved eating the “celery” off the top.
I guess when little miss eats real celery, she is in for a shock!!!
You can download the recipe for yourself using the link below.

I’m so looking forward to spending the evening with my family, enjoying good food and good company.
I hope you enjoy this cake as much as we do.
Happy Easter!
