If you need a refreshing drink for a party or just everyday, try this Louisiana Lemonade recipe. It’s the perfect combination of sweet and tart.

On a recent trip to Disneyland I had the opportunity to go to dinner at the Blue Bayou. If you’re not sure what the Blue Bayou is, it is the restaurant that you see as you start your ride on the Pirates of the Caribbean. The restaurant is inside the ride!!

It is really cool atmosphere and yummy food. And also really hard to try and get a reservation for.
Lucky for me, we were able to get a last minute reservation for dinner and we were so excited! I had eaten there before, but it had been probably 10 or 11 years ago. So I was really excited to eat there again.

The Blue Bayou is known for the monte cristo sandwich. That was the first time I had ever really had a monte cristo, when I had eaten there in the past. We learned however, that the monte cristo sandwich is only served there during lunch time. But the food was still really good.
I, of course, was interested in what delicious drinks they had available. They had 2 non-alcoholic options other than soda. They offer the Mint Julep, which I’ve had at the Mint Julep Bar in Disneyland. As well as the Louisiana Lemonade.

I had never heard of the Louisiana Lemonade before and knew I needed to try it! It sounded just like something I would make at home that my family would love. We ordered it. And we LOVED it! Of course I had to make it when I got home.
Louisiana Lemonade
This Louisiana Lemonade recipe is so easy to make. Mostly consisting of items you probably already have or can buy at your local grocery store.
Where you might run into an issue is with the syrups. It does require 2 different flavors of syrup. Because we make a lot of drinks around our house we had these on hand. But if you don’t have them, here are some ideas of where to find them.
I personally like the Torani brand of syrups. We can find them at Smart and Final near our house or I have bought them off of Amazon. You will need both Red Raspberry and Mango syrup for this.
If you don’t have a Smart and Final near you and Amazon won’t work, check out your local soda shop. You can purchase a couple pumps of each syrup and then bring it home to make yourself one of these drinks. They may look at you weird when you order it, but that’s ok. 🙂

Notes
It's a good idea to mix it all together before drinking it. But it sure looks pretty before you mix it all up.
If you’ve ever wanted to get in to eat at the Blue Bayou and have never been able to, here are my tips for trying to eat there. If you can, try and get a reservation 60 days before your trip, that’s when you can start booking dining reservations.
Check constantly the 48 hours before your trip to see if there have been any cancellations. Or use Mouse Dining to help you get a reservation. You can set up a free account and get alerts when there is an opening. We used this on our trip to Walt Disney World and we were able to get all the reservations we wanted.
And make sure to get your Discounted Disneyland Tickets from my partners at Get Away Today. And make sure and tell them I sent you to get the best rates. Use code LIZONCALL.

We love a good drink around here. And are excited to add the Louisiana Lemonade to our list of yummy non-alcoholic drinks. If you are looking for more drinks, party punch or mocktail recipes, look no further. We have a party punch for every occasion.
Happy Mixing!
