Do you have a major dance fan in your house? Both my daughters love their dance classes. They are excited for the new season to start back up. They’ve missed their dance group during summer break. A new season calls for new shoes and a bag to hold all those shoes.
DIY Dance Bag
To make a DIY Dance Bag you will need:
Cricut Maker or Cutting Machine
Upload the SVG file into Cricut Design Space. Open it up and size the design to fit your project. Click Make it and make sure the mirror image button is clicked to on. Place your foil iron on face down onto the cutting mat. Load the mat into the machine and press the green flashing go button.
Unload the mat once the design is finished cutting. Use the weeding tool to remove any unwanted iron on from the design. Weed the material from the back side of the iron on. Leave the plastic carrier sheet in tact.
Tips for using foil iron on for DIY Dance Bag
Put your bag down over the EasyPress Mat. Place the design down on your bag (or shirt) right side up. With the plastic sheet between the iron on and the EasyPress. Press the design according to the EasyPress instructions. For foil iron on it is 295 for 30 seconds. Flip the design over and press again on the back side for 15 seconds.
Foil iron on is a cold peel material. Which means it needs to cool completely before removing the plastic carrier sheet.
I loved how this design turned out so much, that I made shirts for end of the season for my girl’s dance teachers.
My girls love their DIY Dance Bag and they always know which bag is theirs after dance class and after recitals. This would also be a great design on a t-shirt for the dance mom!
