Happy Tuesday all!
For today’s recipe I wanted to share with you a remake of a dish my hubby and I had on a recent trip to Boston!
CHOWDER FRIES!
During our trip to Boston, we spent one of the days over on Martha’s Vineyard.  It was one of the cutest places ever!  It was their off season so some of the busier shopping places and touristy sites were not open, but we enjoyed the day soaking up the atmosphere.
We decided to eat lunch in Edgartown at a place called the Warf.  We knew we had to get seafood, being that we were 20 paces from the water, so we ordered the fish and chips.  The hubs is not a huge seafood fan, but he could handle fish and chips.  He also is a big fan of clam chowder.  So when he saw an appetizer for something called Chowder Fries, he was intrigued.
They were AMAZING!  It was chili fries without the chili!  I’m not a chili fries fan, but I love like clam chowder, so this was a win win for us.  I knew that this was something I wanted my family to try when we got back home.
Of course it starts with a yummy clam chowder recipe.  You can download my clam chowder recipe in the link below.
Once you have your chowder made, you fill a baking dish with your fries.  Then you pour clam chowder over the top of your fries, and then top with grated cheese.  (Mine needed more cheese!)  Then you bake it in the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes to get everything warmed through and until the cheese is melty and bubbly.
Then you use a big spoon to scoop yourself out a delicious sized portion!
Yes, I did need a fork to eat this. 🙂
This is a fun take on the classic chili fry.  Clam chowder fans will love it!
Happy Cooking!
