Follow this simple tutorial to create fun and festive washi tape Christmas art with Scotch® Brand Expressions and these free printables.
I love crafting for the holidays. I especially love crafts that I can use in my decorating. If they are simple crafts, that is an added bonus. When I started thinking about the upcoming Christmas season, I knew I wanted to create something simple to use around the house as decorations. Scotch® Brand Expressions washi tape is such a versatile and fun product to use for everyday projects and for holiday crafting. I knew these would be great to use for a fun and festive project.
I was able to pick up all the supplies I needed for my washi tape Christmas art at Walmart in the paper crafting aisle. They had a great selection of the Scotch® Brand Expressions Tape and also the Scotch® Create line which includes, masking tape, spray adhesive and the double sided permanent tape I used for this project.
The first thing I did was print out 2 copies of the washi tape christmas art prints onto card stock (download at the end of post). I cut them out in 4×6 size, making sure the designs match up, and covered one with the Scotch® Brand Expressions Tape. Then using a utility knife, I cut the design from the second print, saving any parts I wanted to use to cover up the washi taped print. Then I used the Scotch® Create Brand permanent double sided tape and laid it on top of the one with washi tape.
I also used the double sided tape on the backs of the tiny pieces I had cut out and added to create the bow. I stuck them in a 4×6 frame so that I could add it to any place in my home.
I created 3 different designs for my washi tape Christmas art and used the same process for the other 2 designs. All 3 designs will be printed on one sheet. You can download the printable using the link below.

There were so many patterns of Scotch® Brand Expressions Tape to choose from, the hard part is trying to narrow down which ones to use for each design. The glitter tape was my favorite to add to these designs. The tree was the easiest one to do and would be fun for the kids to help with!
This washi tape Christmas art will be fun to place on a mantel, scattered throughout your home, or down your table as part of your centerpiece.
I think they turned out so fun! Be sure to check out more awesome craft ideas using Scotch® Brand products.
What are you planning on crafting up this holiday season?
